All about the School Summer Adventure Camp (Tirthan Valley)

Into Wild Himalaya Camps (Tirthan Valley) has designed summer adventure programmes especially for school and college students to experience what it is like to really live close to nature with basic amenities. Groups will be able to join in our fun-filled adventure activities such as rock climbing, rappelling, hiking, trekking and have the chance explore the Himalayan Villages whilst emercing themselves into the religion and culture of the area.

This programme gives students a basic knowledge about flora and fauna, as well survival techniques. It also offers the opportunity to sit on the banks of the Tirthan River and listen the sounds of the tranquil river and even have a days' hike to Choi Waterfall and the Great Himalayan National Park.

Tirthan Valley is one of the smallest valley in Kullu and it is a base camp for many short and long-term treks to the Great Himalayan National Park.(Camp in Tirthan valley, Camps in great Himalayan national park, Tirthan valley adventure camp)

School/Summer Adventure Camp


Day 1

Arrival/Camp Briefing/Tent Allocation/Group Formation/Acclimatization/Walk to Water fall
Group will be arriving in the camp after an overnight journey from their destination. Upon arrival, group will be having a small briefing about the camp and surrounding area. Soon after briefing groups will be allocated to their designated tents. Breakfast will be served which will then be followed by group being divided into their own smaller activity groups. Lunch will be served in the camp. After having lunch, group will be leaving for a nice acclimatisation walk to Choi Waterfall.

In the evening group will be served dinner along with a welcoming bonfire. Overnight stay in camp.


Day 2

Rock Climbing/A visit to Himalayan Trout Fish Farm
In the morning after breakfast, the group will be leaving for rock climbing. They will be coming back to camp for lunch soon after finishing rock climbing. After having lunch, the group will be going for a walk to visit the Himalayan Trout Fish Farm, where they will have the opportunity to see how fish hatchery is done and artificial breeding. In the evening there will be a fun session organised, where students will have the opportunity to show their talents! Overnight stay in camp.


Day 3

Rappelling & visit to a Himalayan Village
After having breakfast in the morning, the group will be going for their major activity which is known as rappelling. As soon as everyone in the group finishes the activity, the group will then return back to the camp to have their lunch. After lunch the group will have a chance to visit one of the local Himalayan Villages, where they will have the opportunity to see how a Himalayan villager lives their life and learn about their culture. In the evening there will be a fun session followed by dinner.  Overnight stay in camp.


Day 4

A Full day trek to the Great Himalayan National Park
Today will be the most challenging day for all the students because we will be going for a full day trek to GHNP. We will be walking through very small Himalayan Villages, forests, beautiful terrain and photogenic landscapes. All the students will be carrying their individual packed lunches along with them to eat en route. By the evening they will reach back to camp to then enjoy music along with a fantastic bonfire. After dinner all the participants will get into their tents for their final overnight stay in camp.


Day 5

Closing Ceremony/Packing/Departure
In the morning after breakfast there will be a closing ceremony. After the ceremony they will get into their tents to pack their backpacks. Group will be served an early lunch to then start their journey to their onward destination. Trip ends here.
